Christian has been active in the startup ecosystem since 2010 as an entrepreneur, angel and VC. Today, he’s a General Partner at global venture firm Headline, which invests locally from funds in the US, Europe, Asia and Brazil, and globally from its growth funds.

At Headline, he backs companies like Mistral AI, NUMA, Trawa and Sparetech, and has been involved with category-defining software and deep tech companies, including Sorare, RobCo, PlanRadar, Kenbi, Leapwork, Stotles, Upheal, Automaited, PowerUs and Coya (acq. by Luko).

He also serves on the Supervisory Board of AUTO1 Group and sits on its Audit Committee.

Before VC, Christian was Director of Global Venture Development at Rocket Internet, founded and led Todaytickets, and later became SVP & Interim CMO at fintech Kreditech. From 2019–2023 he chaired the German Startup Association, where he helped push through a national overhaul of ESOP rules as part of Germany’s Future Financing Act. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs - his great-grandfather co-founded Miele - he’s dedicated to helping founders build enduring companies. In 2021, Handelsblatt named him “Investor of the Year.”
