Today, we’re turning the spotlight on two particularly exciting categories: Emerging Manager of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.

Spotlighting Europe’s Next Venture Leaders
Nominate the Emerging Manager of the Year and Newcomer of the Year
European venture doesn’t renew itself by accident. Each generation is shaped by new managers willing to challenge inherited models, introduce fresh perspectives, and take responsibility for building what comes next.
The EUVC Awards recognise this renewal through two distinct categories designed to highlight emerging excellence at different stages of the journey: Emerging Manager of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.
Emerging Manager of the Year celebrates Europe’s next generation of venture leaders. The award applies the same standards as Firm of the Year, with a focus on managers operating Funds I–III. Evaluation takes a holistic view, combining financial and portfolio performance with innovation, contribution to the ecosystem, diversity, transparency, fairness, and the strength of team and culture.

Newcomer of the Year honours Europe’s true newcomers: funds that reached their first close within the past year. It recognises teams that have successfully brought something genuinely new to the European venture market, while building early traction around their fund, strategy, and long-term vision.

Together, these categories recognise more than early momentum. They highlight the managers setting new standards, expanding what European venture can look like, and laying the foundations for its next chapter.
