The EUVC Awards Spotlight: Impact Firm & Achievement of the Year

The EUVC Awards exist to recognise excellence in European venture in context, where responsibility and long-term contribution matter as much as outcomes.
Two categories embody this philosophy especially well: Impact Firm of the Year and Achievement of the Year.
A big thank you to everyone who has already taken the time to submit nominations for this year’s EUVC Awards. The quality and thoughtfulness of the submissions we’ve received so far reinforce why these awards exist in the first place. If you haven’t nominated yet, there’s still time.
Nominations remain open across all categories, and we encourage you to put forward the firms and initiatives that are genuinely helping move the European venture ecosystem forward.
Impact Firm of the Year
This award honours a venture firm that has demonstrated exceptional positive impact through both its investments and its practices, alongside outstanding financial performance.
Evaluation takes a genuinely holistic view. Firms are assessed across:
Financial and portfolio performance
The real-world impact of their investments
The strength and credibility of their impact practices
Influence on broader industry standards and behaviour
Diversity, governance, and fairness within the firm
Impact Firm of the Year recognises that impact and performance are not opposing forces, and that the most durable firms are those that embed responsibility into how they invest, operate, and partner with founders over the long term.

Achievement of the Year
Achievement of the Year recognises specific projects or contributions that have positively shaped the European VC ecosystem.
Rather than focusing on individuals or organisations, this category evaluates concrete initiatives that have:
Shifted industry norms and practices
Improved transparency, access, or knowledge-sharing
Strengthened Europe’s venture infrastructure
Enabled better decision-making across the ecosystem
It is a category rooted in contribution over credit, celebrating work whose impact extends well beyond its immediate audience.
