Listen now (30 mins) | William McQuillan is a founding partner of Frontline Ventures. This is the second part of a two-part episode with William. If you haven't done it yet, we strongly recommend you go back and listen to our previous episode with William on Frontline's investment theses and how they support founders. In this episode we focus on firm building. Specifically how William built Frontline and took it from an Irish focused firm to a firm for globally ambitious B2B companies on both sides of the Atlantic.
Loved this two interviews with William Mcquillan. I found this as part of my "research" about Frontline and him, after very particular article of his on medium, regarding data and logic on "learning curve" of a VC : https://medium.com/at-the-front-line/using-data-to-shorten-vc-learning-cycles-6a8589cdb8cf . It is interesting to hear that Frontline already had methodology that included data analysis from the beginning, and I think this is what gives them "the edge". I haven't evaluated their models (yet, 😂), but, it sounds to me that this is the way where VCs should head. Not only "hunch", "feeling", "magic"...
