€300k · Other round · Software · Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona-based Tripjoin, whose platform helps creators and communities organise and monetise group travel, has raised €300k in a funding round led by Encomenda Seed II. El Referente reported that Oriol de Pablo, Marc Ros and Óscar Grifols also participated. The capital is intended to accelerate product development, strengthen the team and support growth.
Turning an audience into travel distribution
Tripjoin gives organisers one workflow for creating and publishing a trip, taking bookings and payments, communicating with travellers and managing the experience. The proposition is aimed at creators, brands and community leaders that already have an audience but would otherwise have to assemble travel operations across separate tools and suppliers. Tripjoin connects those organisers with travellers while centralising the underlying technology and operational work.
The commercial mechanism is distribution-led. Encomenda says organisers bring their own communities as the customer-acquisition channel and can earn a 20% to 30% margin per trip, while Tripjoin handles compliance, payments and execution behind the scenes. That can make a small, trusted audience economically useful without requiring the organiser to build a travel business from scratch. It also makes service quality a direct constraint: a marketplace can add organisers quickly, but each itinerary still carries payments, suppliers, traveller support and legal obligations that must work across borders.
Early volume, then geographic execution
In its first 12 months, Tripjoin said it had managed trips for more than 1,100 travellers and generated over €500k in booking volume, with destinations ranging from Spain to Southeast Asia and growth described as organic. The company also pointed to Italy and Portugal as prospective expansion markets. Those figures suggest early demand, but expansion will test whether the operating layer can remain consistent as organiser types, suppliers and consumer rules vary. The round gives Tripjoin resources to improve that infrastructure before a broader rollout.
