Vienna-based fintech 3Folio has raised an undisclosed funding round from the Hansmann Family Office. According to Brutkasten's dated report, the company plans to scale its technology, deepen its position with professional and regulated market participants, and prepare for further European growth.
3Folio turns digital-asset transaction data into records that crypto-asset service providers can use for accounting, tax processing, compliance and regulatory reporting. The company positions its platform between the operational movement of digital assets and the finance systems that must explain those movements later, with an emphasis on traceable data origins, consistent processing and auditable results.
Auditability is the product boundary
For regulated customers, the hard part is not simply collecting blockchain transactions. The same activity has to survive reconciliation, accounting treatment, tax calculation and supervisory review. A data discrepancy that looks minor in a portfolio dashboard can become expensive when it reaches a monthly close, an audit or a regulator.
That gives 3Folio a specific commercial role: it can become the translation layer between crypto-native infrastructure and conventional finance controls. The more downstream processes use the same prepared transaction record, the more valuable consistency becomes. But that also raises the execution bar. Customers will judge the product on repeatability and evidence trails, not only the speed or appearance of its interface.
European growth is a rules problem
Austria and Germany are 3Folio's first focus markets, while the company wants to build a wider European platform. Expansion therefore involves more than adding sales coverage. Accounting, tax and reporting workflows vary by jurisdiction and customer type, so 3Folio must separate a reusable transaction-data core from local rules and integrations without fragmenting the product.
The Hansmann Family Office says it will contribute capital, company-building experience and its network. That support fits 3Folio's stated aim to grow sustainably along concrete customer demand. The financing will test whether the team can convert its Austrian base into a repeatable European rollout while preserving the auditability that regulated buyers need.
