Alfabeto, a Danish marketplace connecting copywriters with customers, brought Rasmus Nielsen into its shareholder base, according to Nordic9’s contemporary reporting. The investment amount was undisclosed. Founded by Christian Johnsen and Sebastian Bjørnsen in 2016, the company built an invitation-only platform where writers could bid for customer assignments.

A writing marketplace needs trust on both sides
Alfabeto’s invitation-only model aimed to solve a quality problem alongside the task of matching writers with work. That is a familiar tension in specialist marketplaces: adding suppliers increases choice, while customers still need confidence that the person they select can deliver. The platform’s value depends on reducing the effort of finding a suitable writer and managing an assignment.
For Alfabeto, repeat use would require both sides to gain from staying on the platform after their first introduction. A reliable workflow and consistent quality could support that relationship. The investment backed an early attempt to organise a professional service through software, where selection and delivery mattered alongside the number of people signing up.
