€2m · Other round · Media · Luxembourg, Luxembourg
Luxembourg-based ANote Music has raised €2m in funding to expand its marketplace for buying, selling and earning music royalties. Seventure Partners led the round alongside Belgian fund ScaleFund, with participation from existing investors and shareholders. The company will use the capital to list more income-producing catalogues, acquire users across Europe and continue developing its platform and mobile apps. EU-Startups · Silicon Luxembourg
Building a market around royalty cash flows
Music rights can generate income from streaming, radio, television, live performance and other uses, but those cash flows are normally fragmented across contracts and collection systems. ANote lets rights holders auction a portion of their future royalties while investors buy the corresponding royalty interests. The platform combines primary listings, a live secondary order book and an automated distribution engine, so the product is not simply a catalogue browser: it tries to provide the transaction and payout infrastructure around the asset. The commercial mechanism depends on both sides of that market. More catalogues give investors a broader set of royalty streams to assess, while more active buyers can improve liquidity and price discovery for rights holders. ANote says every proposed catalogue is reviewed for the underlying rights, historical royalty income, payment structure and valuation before listing. That screening matters because a share represents a contractual claim on future income, not ownership or usage rights in the songs themselves. ANote catalogue review · ANote support
Since launching in 2020, ANote says it has assembled 36 catalogues covering more than 100,000 songs, opened 52,000 user accounts and processed over €28m in cumulative transaction value. The company reported passing €2m in distributed royalties shortly after the first quarter of 2026, with payouts then arriving about once every three days on average. Those figures are company-reported, but they show why the new capital is aimed at catalogue supply and user acquisition together rather than at either side in isolation. ANote Music · EU-Startups
The execution question is whether greater scale produces a genuinely active market rather than a longer shelf of illiquid assets. Catalogue due diligence, recurring distributions and secondary trading each solve a different part of that problem. The €2m round gives ANote room to add supply and demand at the same time; progress will be visible in the quality and variety of new catalogues, the frequency of trades and payouts, and whether European user growth deepens liquidity rather than merely increasing registrations.
