Barcelona-based Autentic AI, which uses artificial intelligence to run qualitative market-research interviews, has raised €1.5m in pre-seed funding. Tech.eu reports that Acurio Ventures, Baobab Ventures, Lanai Ventures and Masia VC participated. The company says the capital will fund more automation across its research workflow and the development of its own network of verified consumers and industry experts.
Turning interviews into a repeatable workflow
Autentic’s platform covers participant recruitment, AI-moderated voice or video interviews and analysis. Rather than relying on fixed surveys, its interview agents can ask follow-up questions, while human researchers interpret the resulting patterns and add methodological context. The company’s product site positions the service for consumer insights teams as well as consultants and investors, with use cases ranging from concept and pricing tests to commercial due diligence.
The company told Cinco Días that it is conducting about 1,000 interviews a day and aims to exceed 400,000 during 2026. Those figures are company-reported, but they illustrate the operating model: run many conversations in parallel, then let researchers concentrate on judging the evidence instead of scheduling, moderating and transcribing every session manually.
A participant network becomes infrastructure
Building an in-house panel is the more consequential use of the round. Recruitment quality determines whether faster interviewing produces useful evidence, and Autentic says verified, compensated participants let clients trace findings back to interview video. Owning more of that supply could reduce dependence on external panels while giving the company tighter control over screening, availability and data quality.
The commercial implication is that Autentic is selling more than cheaper interviews. If customers can shorten a study from weeks to days, research can move from an occasional project to a recurring input for product, pricing and investment decisions. The execution test is whether the platform can scale its participant network across languages and specialist profiles without weakening verification or the human review that supports its claims of research rigour.
