€530k · Other round · Software · Milan, Italy
Milan-based Billding has disclosed a €530k funding round that closed at the end of 2025. The capital came from a group of Italian technology entrepreneurs including Satispay co-founders Alberto Dalmasso and Dario Brignone, Fatture in Cloud founder Daniele Ratti, SOStariffe and Coverzen co-founders Giuliano Messina, Alberto Mazzetti and Umberto Lentini, Cubbit co-founder Alessandro Cillario, and TeamSystem international CFO Michelangelo Bottesini.
The company told Startupbusiness that the money is supporting product and service development and team expansion. Billding analyses electricity, gas, internet and phone bills for households and small businesses, compares available offers and can manage supplier switching and administrative steps through its app.
Distribution matters as much as comparison technology
Billding’s core service is free when a user switches through the platform; the company receives a commission from the selected supplier. It says supplier payments do not affect result rankings, while businesses can also pay for a dedicated adviser. That model makes trust and distribution inseparable: the comparison must appear independent enough to earn a switching decision, and each partner channel can bring bill holders into the workflow without Billding acquiring them one by one.
The company has built those channels through Altroconsumo, the National Consumers’ Union and FIPE-Confcommercio. It is also available through the Satispay merchant dashboard and among Qonto’s integrations, while a partnership with employee-benefits provider Up Day gives it access to staff at more than 30,000 client companies, according to Startupbusiness.
The disclosed financing followed a change in focus. Billding initially explored bundling household services, then shifted towards small businesses after finding that commercial tariffs were less transparent and savings on high consumption could be material. Its revenue rose from about €55k in 2024 to €434k in 2025, and the company forecast roughly €1.5m for 2026. The team has grown to 35 people across Milan and Catania.
That growth still has to convert partner reach into recurring switching and advisory revenue. The round gives Billding room to improve the product and broaden its team, but the commercial test is whether monitoring and repeated tariff changes can deepen the relationship beyond a one-off comparison.
