$27m · Series B · Livestock supply-chain software · Austin, Texas, US
Breedr, an Austin-based livestock platform that combines animal records, a marketplace and cattle finance, has raised $27m in Series B funding led by Partech's impact fund. Latitude and Outsiders Fund also participated. The company says it will grow the team, bring more ranchers and farmers onto the platform, and add data points including genomic information.
The new round takes Breedr's total funding to $46.6m. Partech's Arnaud Minvielle and Latitude's Remus Brett will join the board.
A shared cattle record can become transaction infrastructure
Cattle often change hands several times, so performance and health data can disappear between producers, buyers and processors. Breedr's digital record follows the animal across that chain, while its marketplace and finance fund turn the data into transactions. That combination matters because better records have more value when the next participant can actually price and act on them.
The platform's commercial engine strengthens as more supply-chain participants share the same record: each transaction creates more data, and richer histories can reduce uncertainty for buyers and lenders. Expansion therefore depends less on selling a standalone farm app than on onboarding connected regional networks. The Series B finances that distribution work, while genomic data could deepen differentiation if producers see measurable gains.
