Athens-based Circuits Integrated Hellas has secured undisclosed pre-seed funding from Evercurious VC to commercialise CI-ONE, its first semiconductor product family.
CI-ONE combines a Ka-band power amplifier and radio-frequency switch in a compact surface-mount module for satellite communications systems. The company says the design is approximately three times smaller, up to 50% cheaper and up to 25% more efficient than conventional configurations built from discrete components.
The investment will support early sampling and a planned general release in the fourth quarter of 2026. It also marks Circuits Integrated's move from advanced semiconductor design services toward selling repeatable products.
A product business changes the scaling constraint
Design services can fund technical development and keep a team close to customer problems, but revenue remains tied to engineering capacity and individual projects. A standard module creates a different path: the same component can be designed into many terminals without rebuilding the core solution for every customer.
That makes qualification the next commercial test. Antenna manufacturers must verify performance, reliability and integration before committing a component to production. CI-ONE's size, cost and efficiency claims matter only if sampling converts into those design wins; the pre-seed capital gives Circuits Integrated room to cross that gap from a working device to repeatable semiconductor revenue.
