€5.6m · Series A · Software · Copenhagen, Denmark
Copenhagen-based Claimlane has raised €5.6m in Series A funding from Verb Ventures, Skagerak Capital and Vendep Capital. The company will use the round to develop AI agents for aftersales product claims and expand its US operations, according to the company announcement.
Aftersales data gives AI a workflow to act on
Claimlane connects the brands, retailers, suppliers, manufacturers and repair partners involved when a product breaks. Its platform brings together product details, warranty policies, supplier agreements and case history, then coordinates actions such as repairs, replacements, refunds and credit notes through connected systems.
The new AI agents are intended to assess each claim against a customer's own policies and processes. That is commercially more specific than a general support chatbot: the software needs to understand who carries the cost, which remedy is allowed and when human judgement is required. Claimlane's network of connected parties gives the agents both context and a route to execute the resulting decision.
The value proposition is a shorter path from complaint to resolution, while preserving evidence for recovery from suppliers or manufacturers. That can turn aftersales from a queue of emails and spreadsheets into an operating system for cost control and customer retention. The constraint is implementation depth: every customer's product catalogue, policies and partner relationships must be mapped well enough for automation to be trusted.
The US becomes the expansion test
Claimlane says North America is already its largest market for new customers this year. US sales opportunities have risen 150% year on year and newly created pipeline value has doubled, although those are company-reported commercial indicators rather than recognised revenue. Co-founder and CEO Anders Sommer has relocated to Austin to lead the expansion, supported by teams in Copenhagen and London.
The round gives Claimlane room to deepen category-specific agents for electronics, furniture and outdoor equipment while building local customer support. The key milestone is whether stronger automation improves case economics without removing the human intervention required for ambiguous warranty and liability decisions.
