€1.9m · Other round · Software · Valencia, Spain
Valencia-based CoCircular has closed a €1.9m funding round led by Seven Seas Capital, with participation from Angels Capital, Hortensia Roig, Savana Global and Zubi Labs. According to Zubi Group’s 21 July announcement, the company will strengthen its team and technology, extend its 360º Advisor platform with AI-supported analysis and automation, and expand beyond construction into industry and retail.
Waste records become operating infrastructure
CoCircular combines software with technical support for companies that need to document what happens to waste from a project or facility. Its official site says 360º Advisor centralises waste records, tracks documentation and recovery outcomes, and gives teams alerts and impact metrics. The product is designed to replace work that otherwise sits across spreadsheets, contractors and waste managers, while preserving the evidence customers need for compliance and environmental reporting.
Business Insider España reports that the platform serves about 200 companies in Spain and Portugal. CEO Paula Sánchez told the publication that it can save 10 to 15 hours per month for each worksite or industrial plant. That is the commercial mechanism behind the software: fewer hours spent collecting documents and checking hand-offs, plus a clearer record of where materials went and how much was recovered.
Expansion tests whether the workflow is repeatable
Zubi Group says CoCircular has managed more than 6.3 million tonnes of waste, achieved a 91.45% recovery rate for customers and avoided more than 94,010 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Those are company-reported impact figures, but they show the scale of the data layer CoCircular has built in construction. The same announcement says the business plans to double its headcount and multiply revenue eightfold over the next four years.
Moving into industry and retail broadens the addressable market, but it also introduces different waste streams, reporting rules and operating rhythms. CoCircular will need reusable workflows and integrations that can absorb those differences without turning every deployment into a consulting project. The planned AI layer can help classify records, flag gaps and surface decisions, but customers will still need an auditable chain from the original waste movement to the reported recovery outcome.
CoCircular was created under Zubi Labs in 2020 and is led by co-founders Paula Sánchez and Leo Martínez. Seven Seas founder Michael Albin framed the investment around the company’s ability to make waste management traceable, efficient and measurable after proving the model in construction. The round now finances a specific execution test: whether that operating system can travel into new sectors while keeping the technical support and evidence quality that made it useful in the first one.
