Amsterdam-based Conversed.ai has raised an undisclosed amount of growth capital from a consortium of technology investors from Blaricum and Oegstgeest, according to the company's 21 August announcement. Emerce reported that the company will use the financing to accelerate platform development, add the people needed to build faster and invest more selectively in marketing.
The company develops AI agents for customer service, commerce, and internal HR and IT support across chat, voice, email and ticketing. Its product connects with knowledge bases and business systems such as CRM, ERP and electronic health records, while the company says its agents can use different underlying language models rather than tying customers to one model provider.
The product starts where an AI pilot usually stops
Conversed.ai's commercial focus is the work after an agent goes live. Its AI Agent Optimization Studio is designed to keep prompts, knowledge, guardrails and responses current as a customer's information and processes change. The company combines retrieval-augmented generation, response evaluation, prompt refinement and feedback loops so teams can review how agents perform instead of treating launch as the end of implementation.
That operating layer matters because a customer-service agent can become less useful even when the underlying model improves. Product information changes, internal documents drift out of sync and a confident answer based on stale material can create support work rather than remove it. Conversed.ai is therefore selling continuous maintenance and integration alongside automation: the agent sits inside existing workflows, while the customer gets an ongoing process for improving its answers.
The company says it works with organisations including Visma Raet, ZekerArbo, Rompslomp.nl, Marie-Stella-Maris and Diageo brands. Its product material says personal data is pseudonymised before being sent to a language model, model workloads remain in Europe, and the company is ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified. Those controls are particularly relevant to the healthcare, occupational-health, finance and B2B software customers the company says it serves.
Capital and operating roles move together
Emerce reported that Conversed.ai had persuaded investors with stable, growing revenue, though the company disclosed neither the amount nor a complete investor list. Michiel Mol invested and joined the advisory board; Maarten Elshove and Walter Hueber also joined the board. At the same time, long-serving team member Sagar Schoneveld became managing director, giving founder Sander van der Kraan more time to focus on international expansion.
The financing therefore backs two connected tasks: turning agent optimisation into a more scalable product and building the organisation to sell and support it beyond the Netherlands. Conversed.ai's execution test is whether it can standardise enough of the monitoring and integration work to grow efficiently without losing the hands-on reliability that differentiates it from a quick chatbot deployment.
