$600k · Pre-Seed · Software · London, UK
Doris Labs, a London software company building a shared context layer for go-to-market teams, has raised $600k in pre-seed funding. Fuel Ventures led the round, with participation from Manchester Angels and a group of B2B software angels.
A shared deal model turns sales history into infrastructure
Sales knowledge is usually split across CRM fields, call recordings, email threads and documents. Doris says its ontology resolves those fragments into typed records for each deal, linking people, commitments, objections, competitors and risks to the source material behind them. That lets its own software and other tools query the same record instead of rebuilding context from a single meeting or an incomplete CRM snapshot.
The company is using that layer to launch “Sidekicks”, software agents that monitor a pipeline, flag deals that may be slipping and handle administrative work around a sale. Doris supports Salesforce and HubSpot alongside Microsoft 365 and Google services, and exposes the ontology through MCP and REST. The commercial proposition is therefore broader than better call summaries: customers connect their revenue systems once, then reuse the structured deal history across forecasting, coaching and agent workflows.
That reuse is the important scaling mechanism. If the record becomes more useful as conversations and outcomes accumulate, Doris can deepen its role inside an account without asking a sales team to maintain another standalone database. The corresponding execution test is accuracy: the ontology has to resolve fragmented data correctly and keep recommendations traceable, especially before software acts on a live opportunity.
Early customer evidence points to measurable workflow value
In the funding announcement, Doris says AI patent platform Patently uses the product across its go-to-market team. Patently reported that, when it compared deals created before and after adoption, the share closing within the forecast timeline rose 165% and its deal-qualification score increased 64%. Those are customer-reported results rather than an independent study, but they give Doris a concrete outcome to test as it expands beyond early deployments.
Co-founders Hayden Munt and Frazer Kearl previously worked at Vertice and Patsnap respectively, according to Fuel Ventures. The investor’s thesis is that sales agents will be constrained by the context they can access; Doris is betting that the durable product is the shared record underneath those agents. The round gives the young company backing from a lead institutional investor and operators who, Manchester Angels says, recognised the same information-loss problem in their own businesses.
