London-based Easol has announced a $30m Series A extension, combining $20m in equity with a $10m debt facility. Y Combinator, Tiger Global, Foundation Capital, FMZ Ventures, Notion Capital and Eight Roads provided the equity, while Viola Credit supplied the debt. Easol says the transaction takes its total capital raised to $60m.
Unified data turns operations into an AI workflow
The company sells a connected commerce platform for festivals, retreats, sports and location-based entertainment businesses. It brings bookings, payments, marketing, customer support and guest data into one system, reducing the need for operators to stitch together separate ticketing and back-office tools. The funding announcement also introduces Teammates, AI agents that work inside Easol’s platform across support, sales and operations.
Easol’s commercial argument is that the agent is useful because it sits on top of live booking and guest data rather than a detached chatbot. The company says one customer’s Teammates agent identified about $50,000 of unbooked upsell opportunities and prepared an outreach list, while another found $28,000 of recoverable payments in seconds. Those examples are company-reported, but they show the intended payback: convert operational records into revenue actions without a small central team manually reconciling several systems.
That mechanism also explains why control is central to Easol’s pitch. The company says customers retain ownership of their data and that the agents run inside the existing platform with single sign-on, audit logs, payments compliance and data-residency controls. If Easol can preserve those safeguards as agents take on more actions, the platform can compete on measurable commercial outcomes rather than the novelty of an AI interface.
The distribution base gives Easol a substantial environment in which to test that thesis. According to the company’s announcement, its platform has powered bookings for 2.8 million guests across more than 135 countries in 2026, with customers including Coachella, Stagecoach, Rapha, Defected and State of Play Hospitality. Co-founders Ben and Lisa Simpson built Easol after running experience businesses themselves, giving the product an operating model rooted in the workflows it is trying to automate.
An extension with two kinds of capital
The financing structure matters. The $20m equity component extends Easol’s Series A with new participation from Eight Roads alongside existing backers, while the separate $10m facility adds debt capital from Viola Credit. IQ Magazine reports that Teammates was developed over two years, while Easol says the funding supported its launch. The next proof point is whether the revenue and efficiency gains reported in early customer examples repeat across a customer base that spans very different experience formats and operating systems.
