€1m · Other round · Software · Nantes, France
Edison IA has raised €1m in its first funding round, led by Go Capital with CIC Ouest and Bpifrance. The Nantes-based company plans to use the capital to add deployment and commercial staff, expand its catalogue of AI agents and take its offer from France’s Grand Ouest region to customers nationwide.
Founded in late 2025 by Anaïs Vivion and Julien Hervouët, Edison IA targets SMEs and mid-sized companies that have experimented with generative AI but have not yet turned pilots into repeatable workflows. Its 30/60/90-day programme starts with executive training, moves through process diagnosis and ROI-based use-case selection, then deploys agents connected to a customer’s existing systems.
The annual Lightning Program is priced at €50,000 excluding tax and combines a dedicated product builder, five selected agents and ongoing ROI monitoring. Edison IA says customers can end the programme after the second quarter without paying for Q3 or Q4 if the promised return has not been verified. Its Hub currently covers tasks including recruitment screening, tender preparation, meeting notes, expense processing and collections.
The commercial test is repeatable deployment
The company is selling more than software access: it packages implementation, workflow design and change management around the agent layer. That can lower the adoption burden for smaller organisations without large internal AI teams. The trade-off is delivery intensity. Edison IA’s ability to reuse connectors, agents and playbooks across customers will determine whether growth behaves like scalable software or remains dependent on bespoke services.
The early evidence is still company-reported. Edison IA says it has trained more than 100 executive-committee members in nine months and begun deploying Hub Edison with its first customers. Le Journal des Entreprises reports a team of about ten and names Groupe Dubreuil, Beillevaire, LNA Santé, Aries Manufacturing and Energies de Loire among customers. The company aims to have more than 100 SMEs and mid-sized businesses in the Lightning Program by 2028.
That target makes the financing’s purpose concrete: build a national sales and deployment engine while widening the agent catalogue. The milestone to watch is whether Edison IA can turn its first deployments into repeatable, measured outcomes across different industries without allowing implementation work to grow as quickly as revenue.
