$13m · Funding round · ETF data and analytics · Zurich, Switzerland
ETFbook, the Swiss provider of data and analytics for exchange-traded funds, has raised $13m in funding led by Expedition Growth Capital, with existing investor BlackFin Capital Partners participating. The company will expand into the Americas and Asia-Pacific, including offices in New York and Hong Kong, and grow its delivery team in Kraków. Its platform brings ETF data into a common structure for use through APIs, analytics tools and an emerging AI interface.
The company announcement does not specify a lettered stage. The post retains Tech.eu Funding Explorer’s Other Round classification.
An AI interface is only as useful as the financial data beneath it
An ETF can appear across markets and data feeds with information that needs to be reconciled before it can be compared reliably. ETFbook’s opportunity sits in that specialist work: making fragmented information consistent enough for customers to build into their own decisions and products. As AI makes financial information easier to query, the quality of the underlying data becomes more consequential.
International expansion adds coverage and local requirements to that task. For ETFbook, a defensible position would come from combining domain expertise with delivery that fits customers’ established workflows. A conversational interface can widen access, while dependable data and traceable comparisons give institutional users a reason to keep the platform embedded in their systems.
