€13.5m · Series A · Energy · Stockholm, Sweden
Stockholm-based Green Voltis has raised a €13.5m Series A from sole investor Lochpine Capital. The company will expand R&D for its Aether AI trading agent and Chronos energy-management system, grow in European power markets and develop a Power-to-Compute business for data-centre sites.
Battery revenue depends on orchestration
Battery owners can earn across day-ahead, intraday and balancing markets, but the highest-value use can change every quarter-hour. Green Voltis combines market access, commissioning and grid-service qualification with software that forecasts prices and allocates capacity across several revenue streams rather than committing an asset to one market.
Its Chronos system controls the physical site and supports grid-forming operation, while Aether forecasts prices and dispatch opportunities. The company says it has more than 1.2 GWh of battery capacity under contract and in operation, with market access active or underway in ten European countries. It also offers revenue sharing, tolling and floor structures intended to make storage cash flows easier to finance.
From storage to flexible compute
Green Voltis is applying the same optimisation layer to data centres. Grid connections in major European hubs can take years, while regulators increasingly expect large power users to provide flexibility. The company’s Power-to-Compute model aims to pair powered land, storage and controllable computing loads so a site can respond to grid conditions instead of operating as a fixed demand block.
The financing gives Green Voltis room to build both businesses, but it also increases execution risk. Battery trading, site controls and data-centre development have different sales cycles and capital needs. The strongest proof will be repeatable operating performance across markets, followed by contracts that convert better dispatch into financeable customer economics.
