Berlin-based Inne has added SwissHealth Ventures as an investor in an undisclosed transaction. The investor's official CSS portfolio confirms it has backed Inne since 2026, while Deutsche Startups reports that the investment represents approximately 4% of the company. Neither the transaction amount nor a use-of-funds plan was disclosed.
Inne builds an at-home hormone-monitoring system around its Minilab. A user applies saliva to a test strip, the reader measures progesterone, and the app turns the reading into a cycle view. Inne presents the product for cycle observation, fertility, hormone-free contraception and support through perimenopause and menopause.
The product is a recurring measurement routine
The commercial model is more than a one-off hardware sale. The Minilab reader sits at the centre of a repeat testing routine, while consumable strips are sold in recurring packs and subscriptions. That creates a route to continuing revenue if customers keep testing, but it also makes trust and consistent use central to retention.
Inne says the Minilab is CE-certified, and its support material describes the hormone-free contraception use as IVDR certified. Those are the company's regulatory claims, not a reason to treat every product use as interchangeable. A fertility-planning workflow, a contraception indication and perimenopause monitoring carry different user expectations, so growth depends on explaining what each measurement can and cannot show.
The home format removes the need to visit a clinic for every progesterone reading. Its value, however, depends on turning a single hormone signal into guidance that users find clear enough to act on and reliable enough to repeat. The hardware, strips and app therefore work as one product: a weak experience in any part can break the recurring routine.
An insurer-backed investor brings relevant context
SwissHealth Ventures is tied to Swiss health insurer CSS and invests in digital-health companies. Its portfolio page argues that better hormone information can support more targeted prevention and earlier intervention in women's health. That makes Inne relevant to an investor interested in both health outcomes and avoidable care costs.
The strategic fit should not be overstated. No distribution agreement, reimbursement pathway or CSS customer rollout was announced with the investment. The immediate signal is that a healthcare investor has taken a minority position in Inne; the next test is whether that relationship helps the company extend adoption while maintaining regulatory clarity and repeat customer use.
