€1.35m · Seed · Edtech · Porto, Portugal
Porto-based Intuitivo, a digital assessment platform for teachers and schools, has raised €1.35m in Seed funding to expand into Brazil, develop its product and grow its team. The Next Big Idea reports that Caixa Capital and the Impact Innovation Fund, managed by 3xP Global, co-led the round, with participation from Techstars, COREangels Lisboa, COREangels Porto and Angels Way.
Intuitivo covers the assessment workflow from creating a test to scheduling, monitoring and grading it. Teachers can build assessments from scratch, reuse exercises or turn a PDF into a digital version ready for automatic grading. The product also returns class- and student-level statistics, while an institution plan adds administration, collaboration, training and support. Individual teachers can use a free tier or a €3.99 monthly premium plan, and schools buy on request.
Assessment content can make school software stickier
The commercial wedge is repetitive grading work, but the accumulated assessment library can deepen the relationship. Teachers can reuse and adapt exercises, collaborate in groups and carry the same workflow from a quiz to exam preparation. For a school, that turns a time-saving tool into a shared content and reporting layer; for Intuitivo, each additional subject, teacher and assessment can make replacement more disruptive.
The company says it has more than 200 contracts with municipalities, school groups and private schools, covering over 500 schools. It also reports 75,000 teacher registrations and about one million assessments completed during the 2025/26 academic year. Those figures are company-supplied, but they indicate that the Seed round is financing an existing institutional sales motion rather than a product still waiting for classroom use.
Brazil is a logical language-market extension, but not a simple copy of Portugal. Intuitivo says it already has a local team and some Brazilian teachers on the platform. Turning that foothold into contracted school revenue will still require curriculum fit, local support and a procurement playbook that works across a much larger and more fragmented education system. The funding will also help the company expand its team from 11 to 20, according to the funding report.
Founded in Porto in 2021, Intuitivo says its product originated from a teacher’s request and continues to be developed with educators. That origin matters commercially: the company is selling time savings to teachers while asking institutions to standardise assessment workflows, so adoption depends on satisfying both users and buyers.
