$16.5m · Series A · Software · Stockholm, Sweden
Stockholm-based IPercept has raised $16.5m in Series A funding to launch in the US, make its first local hires and continue developing its CNC-machine diagnostics. Isogon Ventures and 2150 co-led the round, with existing investors Luminar Ventures, RunwayFBU, J12 Ventures and AI.Fund participating, according to Tech.eu.
IPercept spun out of KTH Royal Institute of Technology and began commercialising its technology in 2022. Its device mounts on the moving side of a CNC machine and measures micrometre-scale motion to identify wear in components such as bearings, ballscrews, guides and spindles. It does not require access to the machine controller or the factory's IT network.
A deployment model built around old machinery
CNC fleets are fragmented across manufacturers, controller generations and machine ages. IPercept's commercial proposition is to add one independent measurement layer rather than integrate separately with every controller. The company says its approach works across more than 50 machine brands and can produce component-level observations without per-machine training history.
That hardware independence matters because an industrial monitoring product only creates value after it is installed across enough machines to change maintenance decisions. A device that avoids controller and IT integration can shorten the approval and installation path, while the software turns measurements into recommended actions. The model is sold per machine and per service, giving IPercept a route to expand revenue inside a plant as customers add health, utilization and process-load monitoring.
Service partners can carry the US expansion
IPercept works with more than 30 enterprise customers, including Airbus, Bosch, Hitachi Energy, Scania and Volvo, Tech Funding News reports. Industrial service companies including Konecranes, Quant, DynaMate and MTT also resell or deploy its monitoring within maintenance agreements.
Those partnerships are important to the US launch. Condition monitoring is not only a software sale: customers need hardware installation, machine knowledge and confidence that alerts translate into practical maintenance work. Established service partners can provide that field capacity and distribution, while IPercept supplies the measurement and diagnostic layer. The execution test for the round is whether the company can make deployments repeatable across a larger geography without losing the component-level accuracy that won its first industrial accounts.
The financing follows a €5m seed round in May 2025. It moves IPercept from proving the system with European manufacturers to building a transatlantic deployment network, with product development and partner enablement as closely linked priorities.
