€1.4m · Pre-Seed · Software · Stockholm, Sweden
Stockholm-based Juritas has raised a €1.4m Pre-Seed round led by Passion Capital. BlackWood, Araya Ventures, Angel Invest, Baseline Community + Fund, byFounders Angel Collective and Covenant Holdings also participated.
Contracts become an operating data source
Juritas is building software that turns agreements into structured records of obligations, risks and opportunities. The product is aimed at the period after signature, when negotiated commitments often sit in static files while procurement, finance, legal and operating teams manage delivery in separate systems.
The platform extracts what each party promised, links those commitments to operational activity and surfaces actions or exceptions. That creates a different proposition from contract drafting or storage: Juritas wants to make the contract a live reference for whether commercial value is actually being delivered.
The hard part is connecting language to reality
Founder and chief executive Michelle Cotter previously held operating roles at Legora, Revolut and Epidemic Sound. BlackWood’s investment note frames the product as infrastructure for procurement, legal and finance teams, which reflects the cross-functional nature of the problem.
The technical challenge is not merely extracting clauses. The software must recognise which obligations matter, assign ownership, connect them to changing business data and show evidence for every conclusion. Enterprise customers will also expect strong permissions and audit trails because contracts contain sensitive commercial terms.
Juritas plans to use the funding to accelerate product development, grow its Stockholm engineering team and reach enterprise customers. Early adoption will depend on whether the platform can demonstrate avoided leakage, faster decisions or better compliance without creating another system that teams have to maintain manually.
