€12m · Series A · E-commerce · Paris, France
Kheops, a Paris-based platform for direct commerce between grocery stores and suppliers, has raised €12m in Series A financing led by Odyssée Venture, with ISAI and Elaia participating. The company says the funding will support expansion across France, additional commercial and technology hiring, and preparations for international growth.
The platform manages product listing, ordering, delivery, invoicing and payment for purchases made outside retailers' central buying networks. Kheops says it now serves more than 500 stores, connects over 3,000 suppliers and lists more than 200,000 products. Co-founder Caroline Poinsignon said order volume quadrupled and revenue tripled over the past 12 months.
Direct commerce becomes a data product
Kheops started by reducing the administrative cost of working with many smaller or differentiated suppliers. That workflow layer matters because local assortment can otherwise create a separate operational burden for every store-supplier relationship. Automating the full transaction cycle lets retailers broaden their ranges without adding the same amount of manual work.
The next commercial step is to use the resulting transaction data to influence buying decisions. Kheops plans to recommend store-specific assortments and anticipate orders based on location and performance. If those recommendations prove reliable, the platform can move from processing decisions to helping retailers decide what to stock, while suppliers gain a clearer view of where their products are likely to sell.
