KP Labs has secured a PLN 19.4m growth-equity investment from Momentum Capital Partners. The Gliwice space-technology company will use the capital to expand research and development, broaden its product range, start serial hardware production and strengthen international sales and marketing.
Moving satellite intelligence into orbit
KP Labs builds data-processing units, software and AI algorithms for small satellites. Its systems are designed to analyse imagery and other mission data on board rather than sending every raw file to Earth. That matters because a satellite can collect more data than a constrained downlink can transmit; selecting or processing useful information in orbit can reduce bandwidth use and shorten the time between observation and action.
The company packages that capability across hardware such as its Leopard processing unit, onboard software and mission-specific algorithms. KP Labs says its technology has participated in more than 10 missions, while its Smart Mission Lab lets customers test algorithms remotely on its processing hardware before committing to a physical purchase. That testing layer can reduce integration risk, but flight heritage remains especially important in a market where a hardware failure cannot be repaired easily.
From engineering projects to repeatable products
The commercial transition behind the financing is a move from bespoke technology projects toward a more scalable product model. Momentum told Puls Biznesu that KP Labs generated more than PLN 18m in 2025 revenue, has grown at roughly 30% a year and employs close to 100 people. The fund also cited work with organisations including ESA, NASA, Airbus Defence and Space and Thales Alenia Space.
Serial production is therefore the practical test for this round. Standardised hardware can spread engineering and qualification costs across more missions, but only if KP Labs can preserve reliability as volumes rise and customers accept a common product instead of commissioning extensive custom work. The investment gives the company resources to build that production capacity and sell internationally; subsequent mission wins and repeat orders will show whether its flight experience converts into a durable product business.
