$18m · Series A · AI · London, UK
Magentic, a London-based company building AI digital workers for industrial procurement and operations, has raised $18m in Series A financing. Felicis led the round, with existing investors Sequoia Capital and The Westly Group participating. The funding will expand Magentic's product into a broader AI workforce for manufacturers.
Industrial agents have to operate inside messy systems
Manufacturers make procurement and operating decisions across ERP records, supplier data, spreadsheets and human approval chains. Magentic's digital workers are meant to connect those sources and execute defined tasks, rather than stop at recommendations. That makes reliability and workflow integration more important than a conversational interface: an incorrect action can interrupt production or misallocate working capital.
The commercial test is how much supervised work each deployment removes. Magentic launched in July 2025, so the round arrives while its operating model is still being established. Expanding from individual agents to an AI workforce increases potential value, but also raises integration and governance demands. Customers will scale usage when agents can handle recurring decisions with traceable inputs, approvals and measurable operational outcomes.
