€600k · Other round · Healthtech · Valencia, Spain
Valencia-based Mentelem, which provides structured workplace mental health care, has raised €600k in public and private financing. The company-distributed announcement says Successful Fund I led the private investment, alongside Quibim co-founder Ángel Alberich and Osasuna footballer Rubén García, while ENISA supplied the public component. Mentelem plans to use the capital to strengthen its technology, expand clinical capacity and accelerate commercial growth.
Turning workplace wellbeing into a continuous care system
Mentelem sells employers a programme that combines individual psychological assessment, personalised action plans, sessions with mental health professionals and aggregate reporting for the organisation. The employer receives visibility into adoption and overall trends, while individual clinical information remains confidential. That model is designed to replace disconnected workshops and wellbeing content with an ongoing process of evaluation, prevention, intervention and follow-up.
The product’s commercial logic depends on continuity. A one-off workshop can raise awareness, but it gives an employer little evidence about whether staff use the support or whether needs change over time. Mentelem instead embeds recurring clinical work and measurement inside the customer relationship. The company says MediaMarkt, Reale Seguros and Burckhardt Compression already use the service, and founder Alejandro Pereira told Valencia Plaza that it serves thousands of employees across large companies and smaller businesses.
AI supports triage rather than replacing clinicians
The financing will also fund artificial intelligence and advanced analytics. Pereira describes the AI as a triage and recommendation layer trained on the team’s clinical knowledge, not a conversational agent offering therapy. It guides employees towards exercises and resources, while psychologists remain responsible for care. That boundary matters commercially: automation can help Mentelem serve more employees and surface patterns, but employer trust depends on clinical oversight, confidentiality and clear separation between individual records and aggregate organisational reporting.
Mentelem was founded by Pereira after seven years in clinical practice and launched its software in 2024. The company is based at La Harinera in Valencia and plans to expand across Spain and internationally. The next execution test is whether the new product and sales investment can increase adoption without weakening the personalised clinical support that differentiates the service from a conventional wellbeing app.
