€4m · Other round · AI · Paris, France
Paris-based Opio, which automates financial due-diligence work for transaction-services teams, has raised €4m in its first funding round from Frst, Seedcamp and Global Founders Capital. Tech Funding News reported that the capital will support engineering recruitment and international expansion, including into the UK and Germany.
Turning diligence documents into a reviewable workflow
Financial due diligence requires teams to collect inconsistent files, trace figures back to source material and decide which discrepancies deserve attention. Opio is trying to structure that work before a professional reviews it. The product's value depends on preserving an audit trail: faster extraction matters only if advisers can see where each number came from and challenge it.
That creates a commercial wedge around capacity rather than replacing judgement. Transaction-services firms often face uneven deal flow and fixed specialist teams. If Opio can reduce document preparation and checking time without weakening traceability, customers can handle more mandates with the same headcount. Expansion into the UK and Germany will test whether the workflow transfers across accounting practices and client expectations.
