£1m · Pre-Seed · Software · London, UK
London-based OriginalVoices, which builds a real-time human-insight layer for AI, has raised £1m in pre-seed funding led by Iona Star. The platform uses participant-owned digital twins to help organisations gather and apply human perspectives. According to the funding announcement, the capital will expand its team and participant network, develop partnerships and customers, and support US growth.
Human data becomes infrastructure for AI
AI systems can generate answers quickly, but product teams still need current human judgement to test assumptions, understand context and catch blind spots. OriginalVoices is turning that input into a reusable data layer: participants retain ownership of digital representations while customers can query perspectives in real time. The approach sits between conventional research panels and synthetic-data tooling.
The commercial test is whether the network can deliver both breadth and dependable insight as customer demand grows. More participants can improve coverage, but recruiting, consent and representation are integral to quality rather than separate compliance tasks. Expansion into the US could deepen the network’s value if OriginalVoices can add relevant communities faster than the cost of serving new research use cases.
