€3m · Pre-Seed · Software · Copenhagen, Denmark
Copenhagen-based Palette, which builds a shared workspace for teams using multiple AI agents, has raised €3m in pre-seed funding. Ugly Duckling Ventures led the round, with Emblem, Acadian Ventures and angel investors participating. Palette says the capital will help it grow sales, expand its Copenhagen team, bring Palette Desktop to more customers and continue building Palette OS.
The operating layer sits above the model
Palette Desktop lets people use Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Mistral and Palette's own agent on files and folders that remain in a company-controlled workspace. Each task runs in a separate session, and users review changes before saving them back. The company says the Mac app is available to paying customers, while a Windows version is still in development; its broader OS, including shared context, skills and tool connections, is live with selected design partners.
The commercial bet is that companies will pay for continuity across models, rather than treating any single model as the durable product. Palette's listed Team plan costs €99 per month for roughly five active people but allows unlimited colleagues, with customers bringing their own subscriptions to third-party agents. That keeps Palette's value tied to organising context, review and collaboration instead of reselling model usage. It can also lower the cost of an initial trial, though expansion depends on teams making the workspace part of recurring work rather than using it for isolated experiments.
Funding turns design partners into a distribution test
The next step is to convert early paid use and design-partner feedback into repeatable company-wide deployments. Palette offers paid context-setup and rollout services alongside software plans, which may help teams organise scattered files, rules and recurring tasks at the start. Those services also reveal the execution challenge: if every customer needs extensive founder-led setup, growth will be harder to standardise. The product must turn repeated onboarding work into reusable structures without flattening the company-specific knowledge it is meant to preserve.
The founding team brings experience from Linkfire, Airtame, Podimo and Monstarlab, according to Palette's press kit. Ugly Duckling Ventures partner Andreas Green Rasmussen said the investor had worked with the team before and backed its view that AI adoption would spread across the whole company. The financing gives Palette room to test whether a model-neutral workspace can become infrastructure for that shift, rather than another interface competing for short-lived attention.
