$1.8m · Pre-Seed · AI · Berlin, Germany
Berlin-based Palma.ai has raised $1.8m in pre-seed funding led by D11Z. Plug and Play Ventures, Deel, Scale Now Ventures and angel investors including executives from Cisco and Deel also participated.
Palma.ai builds a governance layer between enterprise AI agents and the tools they use. Its platform evaluates identity, permissions and policy when an agent attempts an action, can route selected requests for human approval and records an audit trail. The company says it will use the financing to expand engineering and go-to-market teams as it targets larger organisations deploying agents across multiple AI platforms.
Governance moves into the execution path
Enterprise agents can do more than generate text: connected to internal systems, they can update records, query databases and trigger workflows. Palma.ai is betting that security controls must therefore evaluate each tool call at runtime, while keeping the human user, agent and application attributable.
The challenge is to become the common control layer without turning every automated action into a manual approval. Early use by investors D11Z and Plug and Play gives Palma.ai live environments in which to test that balance. The round now funds a push from early deployments towards repeatable enterprise adoption.
