$250m · Series D+ · Software · Paris, France
Paris-headquartered Pigment, an AI business-planning and performance-management platform, has announced $250m in Series E funding at a $2.3bn valuation. The Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, led the round, with WIL and existing investors Greenoaks, ICONIQ, IVP and Meritech participating; NVIDIA's investment remains planned. Pigment says the capital will accelerate R&D, grow its engineering team, expand its Graphite compute engine and AI agents, and support growth in new regions.
Planning data becomes the agent control layer
Pigment brings finance, sales, workforce and supply-chain planning into a shared model, connecting operational data with forecasts, scenarios and approvals. The company says its Graphite engine lets people and thousands of agents work on the same governed model while keeping calculations deterministic and traceable, including workloads spanning hundreds of billions of data points.
That architecture matters because an agent that drafts commentary is easier to adopt than one that changes a forecast or runs a planning workflow. In the latter case, buyers need to understand where a number came from, which assumptions changed and who can approve the action. Pigment reports that agents now create 85% of new metrics on its platform. If that usage extends from model building into end-to-end workflows, the product can move from a planning interface to an execution layer for recurring finance and operating decisions.
The commercial mechanism is expansion across functions on one data model. A customer can begin with financial planning, then add sales capacity, workforce or supply-chain use cases without rebuilding the underlying assumptions for each team. That can deepen account value and make the platform harder to replace, but it also raises the reliability bar: one governed model becomes more valuable only if permissions, lineage and calculations remain dependable as more teams and agents act on it.
Late-stage capital follows enterprise traction
Pigment says it passed $100m in annual recurring revenue earlier in 2026, again doubling year over year. It names Unilever, Snowflake and Anthropic among customers, and says L'Oréal selected the platform to replace its salary-planning tool for more than 95,000 employees. These are company-reported milestones, but they show the scale of deployment the new funding is meant to support.
The Series E gives Pigment more capacity to invest in infrastructure and engineering while pursuing autonomous planning. The execution test is whether agents can take on more of the planning cycle without weakening the controls that enterprise buyers require. The same traceability that supports adoption is therefore part of the product's commercial moat, not merely a compliance feature.
