€20m · Series A · Software · Hamburg, Germany
Hamburg-based Procuros has raised €20m in Series A funding to expand the data infrastructure it says autonomous supply chains will need. XAnge led the round, with W23 joining Point Nine, Creandum and b2venture. The company will use the capital to develop its platform, strengthen go-to-market activity and expand across Europe and the United States.
Procuros connects retailers and suppliers whose orders, shipping notices and invoices move through different ERP systems, EDI formats, spreadsheets, PDFs and portals. A customer connects once; the platform then translates partner formats, validates transaction data against business rules and sends structured records into the customer's ERP. The product's current scope includes order entry and responses, shipping notices, invoices and master data, according to Procuros' product material.
The network has to make each new connection cheaper
Traditional point-to-point integration turns every trading relationship into another mapping and testing project. Procuros is trying to replace that pattern with a shared layer that already understands how counterparties exchange documents. The commercial leverage comes from reuse: if a retailer can add another supplier without commissioning another custom integration, the cost and delay of network expansion fall while the platform becomes harder to remove from daily operations.
Customer examples show what that looks like in practice, although the results are company-published claims. KoRo uses the platform across more than 300 trading partners and five document types, and reports a 90% reduction in manual processing time. Niche Beauty says it digitised more than 300 active suppliers, brought 100 live in one week and cut administrative work for its buying team by about 90%. Both cases depend on smaller partners continuing to use familiar formats rather than adopting the same technical stack.
Automation depends on the quality of the transaction context
Procuros and XAnge report more than 300 customers across DACH and the UK and over €3bn in annualised order volume. Those figures indicate that the platform already handles meaningful transaction flow, but they do not establish that customer supply chains run autonomously end to end. The nearer-term value is more concrete: clean the data, preserve the relationship between an order and the documents that follow, and route only genuine exceptions to people.
That distinction matters as Procuros expands. Languages and file formats are only part of the challenge; product identifiers, tax treatment, delivery rules and commercial agreements vary by partner and market. The Series A gives the company resources to extend the network, but its operating test is whether new customers and counterparties can be added quickly without recreating the integration work the product is meant to eliminate. If it can preserve that repeatability, AI agents become an additional layer of automation on top of useful infrastructure rather than the premise customers must accept first.
