€3m · Seed · Software · Vienna, Austria
Vienna-based reebuild, which automates commercial back-office work for construction companies and property developers, has raised a €3 million seed round led by Fortino Ventures, with Rise PropTech Fund and Curiosity VC participating. The investor announcement says the capital will support new AI modules, team growth and expansion into additional European markets.
Structured project data turns paperwork into margin control
Construction cost administration still moves through PDFs, email, scans, e-invoices, delivery notes and spreadsheets. reebuild reads incoming documents line by line, converts them into structured records and matches invoices with orders and delivery evidence. Its platform also covers approval workflows, cost management and material tracking, while people retain the final decision on approvals.
The commercial value is not only faster document processing. A contractor needs current, line-item-level cost information to spot overruns, preserve early-payment discounts and understand project margins before the accounts are closed. By connecting documents to project and supplier records, reebuild can make the same data useful for invoice checking, procurement comparisons, budgeting and reporting. That workflow depth can make the product harder to replace than a standalone extraction tool, provided integrations remain reliable.
reebuild reports that more than 120 construction companies and developers use the platform across over 8,200 sites and projects. It says more than €530 million of invoice volume and 345,000 documents have passed through the system, with over 2,350 users. Customers process document workflows seven times faster, according to the company, while some report procurement-cost reductions of up to 20%. Those figures are company-reported rather than independently audited, but they identify the operational outcomes the expansion must reproduce.
Expansion depends on repeatable implementations
The company plans to extend modules from calculation through accounting and enter more European markets, building on existing operations in Austria and Germany. reebuild says development partnerships already provide early proof points outside its home markets. The execution challenge is to adapt to different accounting practices and existing IT environments without turning every deployment into a custom integration project. The funding also supports hiring beyond the roughly 25 people currently based at its Vienna headquarters.
