€8.2m · Pre-Seed · AI · Copenhagen, Denmark
Repodo, a Copenhagen-based authorised audit firm built around AI, has raised €8.2m in pre-seed funding led by Hedosophia and Seed Capital. The company says the capital will fund product development, team growth and its Danish launch before a market-by-market European expansion.
Turning statutory audit into a continuous workflow
Repodo is building the audit firm itself, rather than selling a software layer to incumbent accountants. Its platform is designed to automate data collection, reconciliations, documentation and transaction analysis, while qualified auditors retain responsibility for risk assessment, professional judgement and final sign-off. The company’s website describes the intended customer experience as year-round auditing, with AI agents checking transactions continuously instead of concentrating work around an annual request-and-review cycle.
That distinction shapes the commercial model. Repodo can own the client relationship and redesign the workflow end to end, but it also carries the professional accountability that a software vendor leaves with its customer. The product therefore has to improve two sides of the same engagement: reducing document gathering and routine responses for small and medium-sized businesses, while moving auditors’ time toward exceptions, complex issues and conversations that require judgement. If that works, automation is not simply a productivity feature; it changes how much expert attention an audit firm can apply per engagement.
Regulation is part of the product
Repodo was founded by former Lunar executives Ken Villum Klausen, Peter Andreasen and Joachim Strøjer Hansen with auditor Anders Houmann. Their mix of regulated-finance, product and audit experience is central to the thesis: legal adviser Bech-Bruun says its work covered both Repodo’s corporate and regulatory setup and the financing round.
Hedosophia partner Sarra Zayani framed the investment around rebuilding audit’s operating model without removing professional accountability. That balance is also the execution test. Repodo’s stated plan to expand market by market means each launch must reproduce the technology, qualified oversight and customer trust together. The €8.2m round gives the new firm room to build that operating system before the founders test whether an AI-native audit model can travel beyond Denmark.
