Tallinn-based Roleo has raised a €2.9m funding round led by Practica Capital, with Inventure participating. The company announcement says the capital will take its personal AI career agent to technology professionals across Europe and brings total funding to €3.46m.
A job marketplace built for people who are not searching
Roleo is free for professionals. Users describe the role, salary, team and location they would consider, and its agent scans open technology jobs before surfacing a smaller set of matches. A user stays anonymous until agreeing to an introduction. Employers pay when they hire, so the product is designed to reach people who are open to a better role without asking them to become active jobseekers.
That changes the supply side of recruitment. Job boards depend on repeated visits and applications, while recruiters work from partial profiles and outreach timing. Roleo can keep a preference record current and watch the market continuously. Its commercial value depends on whether those recommendations produce better introductions rather than merely more alerts: candidate trust, employer response and match quality all have to improve together for a success-fee model to scale.
Distribution comes before marketplace density
Roleo says its agent connected users with 30,000 opportunities they chose to explore after launching matches in early 2026, and that people from Google, Amazon, Stripe and Spotify use the service. Those are company-reported signals, but they show the next execution task. Expanding across Europe means adding local hiring demand while preserving relevant recommendations across different languages, salaries and working arrangements. The new funding gives Roleo room to build that density without charging the professional side of the market.
