Helsinki-based Saidot has raised an undisclosed funding round from new investor BackingMinds and existing backers Crowberry Capital and Ventic. BackingMinds says the capital will support Saidot’s European growth and expansion into the US.
Giving enterprises an inventory of AI agents
Saidot builds governance infrastructure for organisations deploying AI systems and autonomous agents. The problem is less whether an agent can perform a task than whether a company can identify who owns it, what data and tools it can access, which model and vendor components sit underneath it, and how its actions can be reconstructed when something goes wrong.
The platform gives risk, security, legal and engineering teams a common record of agents, policies, controls and evidence. That matters as companies move from isolated pilots to agents that interact with production systems: responsibility can otherwise be fragmented across internal teams, model providers and application vendors.
Governance must fit the delivery workflow
Saidot’s commercial test is whether it can make oversight continuous rather than a late compliance review. A governance layer becomes more useful when it connects to how agents are built, approved and monitored, so teams can apply controls without manually recreating the system’s history for every audit or incident.
The new investors bring both market access and regional experience, but US expansion also raises the product bar. Saidot will need to support customers facing different sector rules and risk tolerances while keeping one auditable model of ownership and control. The opportunity is large because enterprise adoption is accelerating; the danger is that governance becomes a static catalogue while agents and their permissions change underneath it.
