€850k · Pre-Seed · Software · Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain
SoccerSolver has closed €850k in pre-seed and family-and-friends funding. The financing comprises a €700k pre-seed round plus €150k from family and friends, backed by business angels, sporting directors and other professionals connected to clubs across major football leagues.
The Las Palmas company says the capital gives it more than two years of runway to hire, expand the team and turn its research-led football planning software into a commercial service for clubs.
Player transfers become a portfolio-allocation problem
SoccerSolver applies mathematical and financial optimisation to squad planning. Its software combines player, transfer and club data to model which mix of player assets could maximise sporting results, financial returns or both within a club’s available capital and risk constraints.
The company says it developed 16 algorithms, processed more than 750 million data points and analysed over 546,000 transfers across more than 10 years of history while building the product. It closed the round before generating revenue or signing clubs, although the announcement says it was already working with clubs by the time the financing became public.
Sector investors can shorten a difficult sales cycle
Professional clubs make transfer decisions with unusually lumpy capital commitments, uncertain player performance and limited opportunities to reverse mistakes. SoccerSolver’s value depends on helping sporting and finance teams compare those trade-offs in one planning process, rather than treating recruitment as a sequence of isolated player evaluations.
The investor base matters because many participants came from product meetings with potential customers and people inside football. That proximity can help SoccerSolver validate workflows and open club conversations, but the commercial proof still lies in repeat use: its models must improve decisions enough to earn trust from executives who remain accountable for sporting outcomes. The funding buys time to reach that proof without forcing the company to optimise prematurely for revenue.
