Ljubljana-based Space Labs has secured a $50m strategic investment from Windsor Capital to expand internationally and develop its blockchain infrastructure and real-world applications.
The primary-capital investment purchases a 4.9% minority stake and implies a post-money valuation of approximately $1.02bn, according to the company's announcement. Space Labs says it develops proprietary protocols, smart-contract infrastructure and digital economic systems, including its RWD Protocol and SpaceM ecosystem.
The company plans to use the capital to accelerate product development and international expansion. As an initial commercial collaboration, Space Labs and Windsor are developing a vehicle distribution channel through Windsor's automotive and industrial network, with a phased rollout across multiple markets.
A strategic investor as the first route to market
The structure matters because Windsor is contributing both capital and a prospective distribution network. Space Labs describes RWD as infrastructure for connecting real-world projects and businesses with capital and communities; applying it to vehicle distribution gives it a concrete commercial workflow in which to test that proposition.
That channel can shorten access to counterparties, but the meaningful next proof point will be live deployments and repeatable transaction activity rather than the valuation implied by this financing. The funding gives Space Labs resources to build infrastructure; the Windsor collaboration will show whether the model translates into sustained use.
