€4m · Seed · AI · Ghent, Belgium
Ghent-based Spotable has raised €4m in seed funding to develop its construction measurement and quotation platform and expand across Europe and the United States. Investment broker The Harbour arranged the round, which includes Jonas Dhaenens, Christophe Morbee, Arne Vandendriessche and the family office of Hilde Cloostermans and Philip Corens. The company plans to enter France and Germany, deepen its US presence and add partnerships with building-material distributors and manufacturers. Tech.eu
Turning a building address into an order
Roofers can spend hours measuring a property, calculating material requirements and assembling a quote before knowing whether they will win the job. Spotable starts with an address, combines geographic data with AI to create a 3D model, and carries the result through quantities, material selection, prices and a customer proposal. The workflow can reduce repeat site visits and move information that often sits in spreadsheets into one project record. Spotable · Tech.eu
The more defensible commercial mechanism is the connection between contractors and the suppliers behind each quote. Contractors get measurements and a faster proposal; distributors can integrate catalogues and current pricing; manufacturers can place specified products inside the decision workflow. If those integrations stay accurate across countries, Spotable can become part of both the contractor's sales process and the supplier's route to market, rather than a standalone measurement tool. Expansion therefore depends on local product data and distribution partnerships as much as translating the interface. Tech.eu · Spotable solutions
Spotable says it has grown to 30 employees, 350 customers and more than 10m square metres of roof processed since its founders began building the product in September 2024. The company first focused on small roofing firms, launched a first version within three months and began selling commercially about a year ago. Roof and facade contractors remain the entry point, but the platform's ordering layer gives it a path to serve larger distributors and manufacturers as the network expands. The US is the harder test. Spotable says it has already tested the product at trade fairs and established a first commercial presence, but measurements, building practices, product catalogues and channel relationships vary by market. The seed round finances that localisation and partner-building work; the execution milestone is not simply generating more 3D models, but converting local measurement data into quotes and orders that contractors trust.
