$21m · Series A · HRtech · Leuven, Belgium
Leuven-based recruitment software company Spott has raised a $21m Series A led by Balderton Capital, with participation from Base10 Partners, Y Combinator and Fortino. The financing brings its reported total funding to about $24.2m.
Spott combines applicant tracking, customer relationship management, search, outreach and workflow automation for recruitment agencies. The company says it will use the round for international expansion, enterprise features, agentic AI development and hiring.
Turning agency data into workflow leverage
Recruitment agencies often split candidate records, client activity, email and scheduling across separate systems. Spott's product thesis is that putting those records in one AI-native platform reduces manual data entry and makes unstructured information searchable, leaving recruiters more time for candidate and client relationships.
The boundary around automation is commercially important. Spott does not allow AI to advance candidates or present them to clients without human approval, preserving judgement in decisions that affect people and agency reputation. If that control holds as features expand, automation can increase recruiter capacity without turning placement decisions into an opaque process.
