£3m · Other round · Travel · London, UK
London-based luggage-storage platform Stasher has secured £3m in new financing, comprising about £2m in growth funding from Gilion and a £1m strategic investment from smart-locker provider Hive Box.
Stasher connects travellers with hotels and local businesses that can store luggage, with a network of more than 10,000 locations across over 1,200 cities. The company will use the financing to add marketplace locations, increase marketing and expand 24-hour self-service lockers. Hive Box will supply an initial 100 lockers for deployment across the UK and Europe by mid-2027.
Adding owned infrastructure to a marketplace
Stasher's marketplace grew by using spare storage capacity at existing businesses. Smart lockers add a more controlled, always-on option, but also bring hardware placement, maintenance and utilisation into the operating model.
The company can use its booking and search data to place lockers where partner locations are full or unavailable outside staffed hours. The first 100 units will test whether that demand signal translates into enough bookings to justify a larger rollout, while the Gilion financing gives Stasher room to expand its wider marketplace at the same time.
