$1.3m · Pre-Seed · Software · Warsaw, Poland
Warsaw-based SuppMatch.AI has raised a $1.3m Pre-Seed round from Aegis Capital and angel investors including ElevenLabs co-founder Mati Staniszewski. Puls Biznesu reports that the capital will fund product improvement, more ecommerce integrations and international expansion.
Advice appears inside the shop
SuppMatch builds a recommendation assistant for dietary supplements. A shopper describes goals and relevant personal context; the software connects those needs to ingredients supported by research and then maps the result to products sold by the online store using it. The company says its evidence base covers more than 25,000 peer-reviewed studies.
The business model is B2B rather than a direct consumer subscription. The assistant is free for shoppers, while ecommerce businesses pay to embed it. According to the funding report, five stores currently use the system, two more are expected to join, and the product has helped tens of thousands of people. That arrangement places the recommendation at the point where a customer is already comparing products and gives the retailer a way to reduce choice overload.
Trust is the product constraint
Supplement retail combines a large catalogue with claims that vary widely in quality. A useful assistant must separate evidence about an ingredient from evidence about a specific formulation, dose and user. It also has to communicate uncertainty and avoid turning a commercial recommendation into an implied diagnosis. Those boundaries matter because the shop paying for the tool also benefits when a visitor buys something.
SuppMatch can improve the experience by showing why an ingredient was selected, how strong the supporting research is and when a question belongs with a clinician. The commercial opportunity is to make that explanation reusable across stores without presenting every shopper with the same ranked list.
The Pre-Seed capital gives the company room to improve its matching technology and add merchants beyond Poland, beginning with the UK. The next evidence will be whether stores see better conversion and lower decision friction while users view the recommendations as credible rather than another sales prompt.
