€1.5m · Pre-Seed · Fintech · Madrid, Spain
Madrid-based Talky, which builds AI software for accounting and operational finance teams, has raised €1.5m in pre-seed funding with participation from HelloWorld, Silence VC and Motive Force, alongside angels Sebastián Gunningham, Paul Golbaum and Javier Morenés. El Referente reports that the capital will strengthen the product and technical infrastructure, deepen work with current customers and support international expansion.
Turning accounting judgement into repeatable workflows
Talky is aimed at large companies, business-process outsourcers and consultancies whose finance teams handle high volumes of invoices and exceptions. Its platform connects with ERP systems including SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics 365, as well as accounts-payable inboxes, contracts and bank statements. It learns how a customer has treated similar transactions, then uses those patterns to propose or post entries while retaining the supporting context and decision trail.
The harder part of accounting automation is not extracting fields from a standard invoice; it is applying company-specific judgement when a purchase order, contract, tax treatment or supplier history does not line up neatly. Talky says its system asks the relevant employee when it lacks confidence and stores the answer for future cases. That creates a compounding workflow advantage if the software can turn one resolved exception into reusable institutional knowledge, while keeping finance teams able to review why a decision was made.
That mechanism also sets the commercial test. Deep links into ERP and approval workflows can make the product more useful and harder to replace, but they raise the cost of implementation and the consequences of an incorrect entry. In an interview with the founders, Talky said new customers typically reach production in two to three weeks and that the system processes 86% to 93% of documents without human intervention. Those are company-supplied performance claims; durable enterprise adoption will depend on whether the same accuracy, traceability and review controls hold across different customers and accounting policies.
Early volume puts the focus on repeatability
Founded in 2025 by CEO Jorge Beamonte and COO Maximilian Letón, Talky has a nine-person team. The company says it has processed more than 1.8 million documents representing over €2bn in customer spending. Volume is not the same as revenue or customer retention, but it gives the team a substantial set of real accounting cases against which to improve exception handling. The pre-seed round now gives Talky room to add product and engineering capacity while testing whether its customer-specific learning can scale without turning every deployment into bespoke consulting.
