€4.3m · Pre-Seed · Agritech · Paris, France
Paris-based Tellia has raised a €4.3m pre-seed round to expand its voice-first data platform for agriculture. Revent led the financing, with Grey Silo Ventures, Jeriko and Fund F participating, according to the company’s announcement and EU-Startups. The company also presents the round as $5m.
Tellia lets farmers, agronomists and field crews submit observations through calls, voice notes, WhatsApp, photos, text or email. Its software turns those inputs into structured records linked to fields, crops, crews and operations, so information that might otherwise remain in notebooks or message threads can move into operational systems. The company says users can also retrieve records, assign tasks and generate reports through the same conversational interface.
Making data capture fit the field
The commercial premise is that agriculture does not lack software as much as it lacks an interface that field teams will use while working. Tellia CEO and co-founder Coline Labadie de Faÿ told AgNavigator that its competition is often a notebook or group chat. Instead of asking an operator to stop, open an app and complete a form, Tellia captures the way information is already communicated and structures it in the background.
That workflow could make Tellia useful both as a standalone workspace and as an embedded layer for other agricultural software. EU-Startups reports that partners can connect through an API, allowing records and recommendations to land inside their own products. This matters commercially because distribution through existing systems can reduce the need to replace a farm’s entire technology stack before Tellia becomes useful.
Tellia says 80% of its US field teams use the platform daily within two months of onboarding and that it is live across one million acres. Named deployments include Campos Brothers Farms and Duckhorn wineries in the US, plus the Institut Français de la Vigne et du Vin, Val de Gascogne and KWS Saat in Europe. Those are company-reported figures, but Grey Silo Ventures cites the same adoption pattern as part of its investment rationale.
The next test is sustained habit
The funding will go towards improving the voice AI, building an agentic layer between field work and the broader agtech stack, and growing the team in Europe and the US. The execution test is whether early daily usage persists across full seasons and different crops, languages and operating practices. Voice capture lowers the first barrier, but the product’s lasting value depends on keeping structured records accurate enough to feed reporting, compliance and decisions without creating another review burden.
AgNavigator’s reporting offers an important boundary: Tellia is designed to move observations into action, not replace agronomic judgment. That distinction gives the company a clearer wedge. It can automate the administrative layer around experts while leaving diagnosis and accountability with the people in the field.
