€1.1m · Seed · Software · Soleto, Italy
Tiledesk, a Soleto-based developer of an open-source platform for building and orchestrating AI agents, has raised €1.1m in seed funding. Zest, Vertis and OpenT, the joint venture between Tinexta and Zest, backed the round. Vertis invested through its Vertis Venture 6 Digital Sud and Vertis Venture 7 Digital Puglia funds.
The company says it will use the capital mainly to accelerate development of the platform and make it easier to use. Tiledesk wants businesses to create automations and AI agents by describing a process or desired outcome in natural language, with the platform configuring the required tools and integrations.
Tiledesk began with customer-service automation and now targets broader workflows including invoice handling, payment-request checks and IT operations. Its platform connects AI agents with knowledge bases, APIs and business systems, supports human hand-offs, and can run as a cloud service or on premises.
Natural-language building shifts the bottleneck
Tiledesk's move beyond customer service expands the addressable workflow, but it also changes what the product has to prove. Natural-language instructions can reduce the effort needed to design an automation; value appears only when the resulting workflow connects reliably to company systems, handles exceptions and sends sensitive decisions to people. The platform's integration and human-in-the-loop layers therefore matter as much as the agent interface.
The open-core model could help with that enterprise hurdle. Self-hosting and model choice give buyers more control over infrastructure and data, which can make agent deployment easier to justify in regulated or sovereignty-conscious organisations. The commercial test is whether Tiledesk can turn that control into repeatable deployments rather than bespoke integration work as it expands from conversations into back-office processes.
