€2.8m · Seed · AI · Copenhagen, Denmark
Copenhagen- and Berlin-based TODAY has raised €2.8m in Seed funding to develop and commercialise its AI sales operating system for financial and insurance advisers. High-Tech Gründerfonds and Insurtech Gateway co-led the round, with SeedX, Lucid Capital, former HDI chief executive Herbert Rogenhofer and Tech11 founder Pierre Dubosq also participating, according to the company’s 8 October announcement.
The platform is designed to work around an adviser conversation rather than as a standalone chatbot. TODAY says it transcribes meetings, prepares IDD-compliant documentation, extracts client details for CRM and broker systems, gives sales-coaching feedback, and provides simulations for training. It has also added voice agents that can answer calls, pre-qualify enquiries and book appointments. Those functions address a linked operational problem: advisers need to preserve time for client work while firms need consistent records, coaching and compliance evidence.
The company says more than 3,500 advisers across insurers, distributors and independent brokers in the DACH region use the product. It reports that users save an average of five hours a week on administrative work and see up to 10% more revenue. Those are company-reported figures rather than independently verified results, but they identify the commercial claim TODAY must now prove across a wider customer base.
The workflow is the product
TODAY’s positioning depends on combining several steps that advisers otherwise handle across separate systems. Transcription can create the meeting record; structured extraction can update customer data; coaching can turn the same conversation into feedback; and simulations can reuse an organisation’s own advisory logic for onboarding. If those steps remain connected, the platform can become part of a firm’s daily operating process rather than another meeting-notes tool.
That integration also raises the execution bar. Banks, insurers and brokerages will evaluate data handling, auditability and the quality of generated documentation alongside time savings. TODAY says the product is designed for GDPR, the EU AI Act and IDD requirements, and that larger teams can calibrate it to their own processes. The Seed capital is intended to support further product development and commercialisation, including expansion across the DACH market. Repeatable integrations and reliable controls will determine how efficiently that expansion scales.
TODAY was founded in 2024 by Michael Gackstatter and Artem Demchenkov, whose previous roles include CLARK, Funding Circle and Billie. HTGF investor Tizian Hoppen described the opportunity as a vertical AI layer for financial-services sales, while Insurtech Gateway highlighted the founders’ close work with advisers. The financing gives the company more room to test whether workflow depth can turn that domain knowledge into durable distribution.
