€1.9m · Other round · Travel · Copenhagen, Denmark
Copenhagen-based Tryp.com has raised €1.9m in a funding round led by Point Capital Partners, with Iberis Capital and angel investors participating. The financing takes total funding to €5.9m. Tryp.com told Tech.eu it will use the capital to bring its booking technology to more travel brands, launch experiences and activity-led trips before year-end, and prepare expansion into Asia and the Americas.
Tryp.com is an AI-native online travel agency that assembles flights, trains, buses, ferries, accommodation and transfers into one booking. Instead of asking travellers to choose a destination first, its interface starts with a budget and available dates, then searches more than 80m transport fares and 28m stays to build itineraries. The company says virtual interlining across more than 7,000 locations lets it sell connections that no single carrier offers.
From travel search to travel infrastructure
The platform has two routes to market. It sells trips directly to consumers, but its engine also powers WIZZ Holidays, the package-holiday platform Wizz Air launched in July 2026. That partnership turns the same itinerary-building and booking stack into infrastructure for another travel brand. Expanding this channel could give Tryp.com distribution without relying only on its own consumer acquisition, while partners avoid building multimodal packaging and personalisation from scratch.
The company claims more than 10m users since launch and about 1m monthly users. It also says half of bookings come from travellers who buy directly from recommendations without typing a search, and that personalisation nearly triples recommendation click-through after four interactions. Those figures are company-reported, but they describe the commercial test behind the round: whether a recommendation-led feed can convert flexible travel intent into completed, supportable bookings.
Growth raises the operational bar
Tryp.com said September sales exceeded €1.2m, more than the whole of 2024, and that it now sells about 14,000 tickets a month. As the platform adds activities, partners and new regions, itinerary breadth also increases the operational burden: each additional leg, supplier and market can create more edge cases around schedule changes, payments and customer support. The company combines its AI assistant Sandra with a 24/7 service team, making service execution part of the product rather than an afterthought.
Founded in Odense in 2021 by six engineering students, Tryp.com closed a €3.1m round in January 2025. The latest round shifts the emphasis from proving consumer demand to extending the technology through travel-brand partnerships and new geographies, according to Jornal Económico.
