£2.5m · Other round · Transportation · London, UK
London-based Tyred has raised £2.5m from Raw Ventures, Ada Ventures and angel investors including Anton Buzdalin. The company says the funding will accelerate product development, UK expansion and the groundwork for European growth.
Turning bike servicing into an ownership platform
Tyred is combining maintenance, repairs, insurance, warranty management and finance in one service for riders and commercial fleets. Its company announcement says proprietary IoT devices will collect bike-performance data for predictive models that flag wear and maintenance needs before a failure.
The commercial logic is to use servicing as the operational entry point for a broader relationship. Tyred says it serviced more than 100,000 bikes over the preceding year. That activity can generate recurring touchpoints and equipment data, while insurance, warranty and finance add services around the same asset. The execution test is whether those data and service workflows improve fleet uptime enough to support repeat contracts beyond the workshop network.
